PrintPrice Refactoring Map

This section identifies the main areas of the platform that may require medium-term refactoring as the system grows.

The purpose is to improve maintainability without disrupting production stability.

Current Focus Areas

Engine Boundaries

As more logic is added, some engines may require clearer boundaries between pricing, analysis, intelligence, and routing.

Data Contracts

The system should continue converging toward canonical schemas across the platform.

Compatibility Scoring

Compatibility logic will likely become more sophisticated and may require modularization.

Routing Logic

The Matchmaker may eventually require versioned scoring profiles and more explicit routing policies.

Practical Refactoring Themes

Refactoring work should focus on:

  • reducing duplicated logic
  • stabilizing data structures
  • improving modular boundaries
  • clarifying responsibility ownership
  • simplifying integration points

Refactoring should happen incrementally and be driven by:

  • architectural clarity
  • operational stability
  • maintainability
  • future extensibility

This map exists to guide engineering evolution, not to force premature rewrites.
