PDF Analysis is the deterministic technical inspection stage of the PrintPrice production pipeline.

It extracts measurable facts from uploaded documents before any production interpretation is applied.

Purpose​

The purpose of PDF analysis is to transform an uploaded file into a structured technical representation.

This includes:

  • page count
  • page dimensions
  • trim geometry
  • bleed information
  • image density
  • color spaces
  • font status
  • total ink coverage

Processing Tools​

The platform relies on deterministic tooling such as:

  • Poppler
  • Ghostscript
  • internal geometry probes

These tools provide consistent and inspectable results.

Output​

The output of PDF analysis becomes the technical foundation for:

  • Preflight findings
  • Production Intelligence
  • Compatibility evaluation
  • Matchmaker routing

Without reliable PDF analysis, the rest of the platform would not be trustworthy.
